Orthoses

If you look at someone’s back, you’ll see that the spine runs straight down the middle. When a person has scoliosis, their backbone curves to the side.

The angle of the curve may be small, large or somewhere in between. But anything that measures more than 10 degrees is considered scoliosis. Doctors may use the letters “C” and “S” to describe the curve of the backbone. Click here to learn more about Scoliosis.

Spinal anatomy is a remarkable combination of strong bones, flexible ligaments and tendons, large muscles and highly sensitive nerves. It is designed to be incredibly strong, protecting the highly sensitive nerve roots, yet highly flexible, providing for mobility on many different planes. Most of us take this juxtaposition of strength, structure and flexibility for granted in our everyday lives – until something goes wrong. Once we have back pain, we’re driven to know what’s wrong and what it will take to relieve the pain and prevent a recurrence.

Braces with adjustable ROM (range of motion) allow protected flexion-extension movement. They are used after an injury or in the post-operative period to allow early movement without damaging the healing tissue.

Wide range of pre-fabricated and custom made knee braces design for osteoarthritis, ACL & PCL reconstruction, knee instability and ...

FOR runners, walkers and many other exercisers, a satisfying workout often involves no small amount of abuse to an intricate piece of sports equipment — each foot and its 100-plus parts. So when your heel hurts or your ankle throbs, investing up to $800 in a pair of prescription orthotics, customized insoles designed to slip into a sneaker or shoe, often seems worthwhile.

“A custom orthotic puts your foot in an ideal position at every stage of walking, running and pivoting,” said David A. Schofield, the president of the American Podiatric Medical Association, which represents more than 12,000 podiatrists. “You’ll be at your most strong and at your maximum efficiency.”

Cranial remolding orthosis is a custom made orthosis built over infants head mold to reshape the head. infants who diagnosed as "Plagiocephaly", "Brachycephaly", combination of them, or other type of head deformities, are fitting with custom made remolding orthosis to reshape their head to as close as normal/typical head shape.
